Last week of Term 1

We have been practising our small ball skills with Sonya from Project Energize.

We collected  seeds from the sunflowers that grew in the Butterfly garden. We will keep them till spring and then plant them in the garden to grow more sunflowers next summer.

We have been working on our drawing skills. To practice we look, draw what we see and then look again. Here we are making still life pictures. We carefully looked at the shapes of fruit on platters and then drew what we saw. Next we will add colour using pastels and dye.

 

 

We ate the fruit  when we had finished drawing it! Delicious!!!!!

Painting on the deck is very popular. We are learning to use colour boldly.

We enjoy creating  colourful cities with our new blocks

Corn fritters

We made corn fritters for the harvest festival.

 We took the husks off the corn cobs.....

 We followed the recipe to make the fritters

Look how much fresh corn we cut from the cobs!

We put flour and eggs in a bowl and added the cron.

Mmmmmm, here are the cooked fritters ready to go out to  the harvest table.

What a magnificent feast we had!
