We took part in the Little Kitchen science experiments. We chose to look at travelling water and learned that when water moves from one place to another it is called capilliary action. It's the same thing that trees do when they draw water out of the ground and up their trunks into their leaves.
Room 13 is a class of Year Two and Three learners. We are in Totara Team. Our teacher is Ms Jones.

Blast off!
We are working towards making a movie based on our rockets and dioramas.

We cut the shoeboxes so they lay flat then we painted them black.
Anne showed us how to make a diorama of the planets.
First we made the planets out of newspaper and paste. |
Here are our finished dioramas |
We are putting the dioramas together so they can look like space. They will be the backdrop for our movie. |
We are putting up a black sheet to be the background for the dioramas. |
The rockets will blast off from New Zealand, of course! |
