Our training certainly paid off. We did very well, coming first, second, third and fifth in the Year 1 girls, and first and third in the Year 1 boys.
Everyone ran brilliantly and a great time was had by all.

We practiced on Dawson Street and the courts when it was too muddy on the grass. Our secret is to take a lesson from The Tortoise and the Hare. That is, don't run too fast at the start, but put on the speed at the end when everyone else is getting tired.
